This is a fun and casual  club for anyone that enjoys gardening and nature.  We share ideas, tour gardens, and help each other with garden problems. Whether you are just staring your first garden or have a genuine green thumb, you will have fun with G.R.O.W.  We welcome gardeners from Wardsboro and surrounding towns to join our events.  If you have any questions or would like more information contact the organizers about the schedule of events and ideas you may have...>

G.R.O.W. does not charge dues. Everyone is welcome to join any or all meetings. If you are interested in learning more about the club, contact the club chair for more information or to be added to the mailing list.

Moss!

Carol Fay and Liz Spector   The science and beauty of Moss Gardens. Liz Spector will provide information about various mosses and we will look at the benefits of using moss in your lawns and gardens.

Lynne Haggerty Botanical Artist

Liz Spector       Lynne has a diploma in Botanical Illustration with distinction from the Royal Botanic Garden and  is the President of the Philadelphia Society of Botanical Illustrators. She will demonstrate her art and provide a brief lesson.

Lee Miller         Back by popular demand!  Your choice, choose a favorite piece of art or select one of the short stories from one of the books to fashion a bouquet.

A Visit to the Merck Forest

Car Pooling -time TBD but mid-morning  Nice place for a self guided educational hike or a shorter walk through the farm. They have a picnic area or we can plan a stop in Manchester for lunch.

 

The Birds and the Bees

Oct. 7 or 8  2:00

Lise Fortin        Make wreaths to feed the winter birds or make a simple house to lure mason bees to your garden next spring.

 

Making Terrariums and Guest Speaker
